[:en]Sennacherib, the king of Assyria sent messenger to King Hezekiah telling him not to ally with Egypt nor to trust the Lord God, but to make peace with them. They announced to the people that no nations had ever been saved from all the gods of their countries. They offered them 2000 horses (v. 8) and promised them food. (v. 16), but their promises had a condition of “until” (v. 17)
Do not fall into Satan’s prey. Never negotiate with Satan. (v. 21) Trust God and seek His guidance.[:]
