[:en]Hezekiah contracted a boil (v. 21) and became ill and was at the point of death (v. 1) He wept bitterly and pleaded God to heal him. The Lord heard his prayer and add 15 years to his life (v. 5) God promised to defend Judah from the hands of Assyria. (v. 6)
Hezekiah described death as going through a gate, seeing no one with broken bones. (vs. 10, 13) But he found life when God restored his health (v. 16) He praised God for his love (v. 17) and faithfulness (v. 19) and give thanks for his healing.
When you are sick, follow what King Hezekiah did. Pray to the Lord. Trust in His amazing power of healing. And give thanks to Him when your prayer is answered.[:]
