[:en]Thoughts from Isaiah 41[:]

[:en]The Helper of Israel gave these promises as they were preparing to return to their land:

  1. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you’; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (v. 10)
  2. “For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear’ I will help you” (v. 13)
  3. “Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you” declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel” (v. 14)

God can turn His people into a sharp instrument to fight against their enemy (v. 15).  He can transform the desert into pools of water with trees in the wasteland (v. 18).  As they looked forward, they saw idols being useless but God was the one who controlled everything.

As you a facing an unknown future, remember God’s promises in Isaiah 41: 10, 13 and 14.[:]
