[:en]Thoughts from 2 Thessalonians 2[:]

[:en]Paul’s ministry emphasized his faithfulness to God:

  1. He spoke the gospel entrusted by God without impure motives.  He did not want to please men but God. (vs. 3-4) – Do you have any personal motive when you preach the gospel?  Are you pleasing God or men?
  2. He never used flattery or put a mask to cover up greed (v. 5) –  Do you flatter people or are you speaking the truth in love?
  3. He was not looking for praise from men or anyone (v. 6) – Are you expecting people to praise you?
  4. He loved them and showed their lives as well (v. 8) – Do you show love to people?  Are you a good witness as a Christian?
  5. He worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while he preached the gospel (v. 9)  – Are you a burden to anyone?  Do you serve God wholeheartedly?
  6. He comforted, encouraged and urged them to live a life worthy of God (v. 12) – Do you live a life worthy or God?
