[:en]The gods of Babylon versus the true God:
- The idols made by man cannot move and must be carried. God of Jehovah created man and He is the one carrying people (v. 7a)
- The idols do not answer nor save anyone from his troubles. God of Jehovah answers our cry (v. 7b)
- The idols cannot predict the future, but the Lord God made known the end from the beginning, and from ancient times, what is still to come (v. 10a)
He is the Lord God, and there is no other. He is God and there is none like Him (v. 9). God’s purpose will stand and He will do all that He pleases. What He has said, he will bring about. What he has planned, He will do it (vs. 10b-11). He had granted salvation to Zion and splendor to Israel (v. 13)[:]
