[:en]Introduction: While some Thessalonian believers were suffering great trials, other believed that Jesus was coming soon so they stopped working and were just waiting for Him. Paul wrote this letter to describe to them what Jesus 2nd coming will be like and reminded them to keep waiting and use their time wisely.
2 Thessalonians 1
Paul thank God for their faith, love and perseverance in the midst of persecution and trials (vs. 3-4). He comforted them that “God is just. He will pay back trouble to those who troubled them” (v. 6). Those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of Jesus will be punished with everlasting destruction. (vs. 8-9). He reminded them to live a life worthy of His calling so that the Lord may be glorified. (vs. 11-12)[:]
