[:en]Thoughts from “Light to My Path” (10/21/17)[:]

[:en]Scripture Reading:  Job 33

Biblical Truth:  Elizhu’s thinking was that bad things only happen to bad people (Job 33:17-22).  So if a person was suffering, their only simple way out was confession of sin (vs. 26-30).  Although his belief was partially true, but he articulated with no reference to the context of Job’s reality (Mat. 233:1-4, 23)  He summarized Job’s wrong and concluded that he was the problem.  He had lost sight of Job as a person.

Personal Application:  There are Christians who think that they are right and who are unconcerned  about those who think differently.  They think that  every moral issue and spiritual mystery can be reduced to a simple formula.  Their belief in Christianity as an aggressive truth had become a stumbling block to many people in their spiritual pilgrimage.

Prayer:  Guide me to be a peace loving Christian who is tolerant and gentle to others.[:]
