[:en]Paul urged everyone to pray, give thanks and intercede for kings and all those in authority so that we can live a peaceful and quiet life in godliness and holiness (vs. 1-32) He wanted all men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer(v. 8) and women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God (vs. 9-10).
