In the same way, our sin-damaged heart can not become new unless we let Christ make us a “new creation” (2 Cor. 5:12) and replace the old with a “new life” (Acts 5:20) That is only possible if we are saved through faith in Christ. Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead to display His power over sin and death.
