[:en]Prophet Hananiah prophesised that God will break the yoke of Babylon and bring back all the articles of the Lord’s house and king Jehoiachin within 2 years. Then he took the yoke off Jeremiah and broke it saying “In the same way, God will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon off the neck of all the nations within 2 years” (vs. 10-11) The Lord said to Jeremiah: “I will put an iron yoke on the necks of all those nations to make them serve Nebuchdanezzar and they will serve him. (v. 14) Then Jeremiah told Hananiah that God was going to remove him from the face of the earth because he had preached rebellion against the Lord. In the 7th month of that same year, Hananiah died.
