[:en]Thoughts from Ezekiel 1[:]

[:en]Ezekiel was taken to Babylon in 597 B.C. with the second deportation and five years later, he received his call to ministering (592BC).  He was a priest who was called to be a prophet and he preached action sermons that emphasized the glory of God and the honor of God’s name.

God gave vision to show how He was working in this world.  The storm was the tool of His providence.  The wheels spinning within the wheels and the living creatures going back and forth like lightning showed that God was in control of everything.  Far above the storms what Ezekiel saw as God was still on His throne.  And the rainbow that he saw encircled the throne.  The rainbow assures us of God’s presence and protection when we are going through a storm.[:]
