Men of faith:
- Abel – offered better sacrifice (v. 4)
- Enoch – pleased God (v. 5)
- Noah – built an Ark (v. 7)
- Abraham – went to a place he did not know; he believed in His promise of a son though hie was past age; he offered his son Isaac to God (vs. 8-17)
- Isaac – blessed Jacob and Esau (v. 20)
- Jacob – blessed Josephp’s sons (v. 21)
- Joseph – spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instruction about his bones (v. 22)
- Moses – chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a short time (v. 23-20)
- Joshua – leading the people of Israel and witness the fall of the walls of Jericho (v.30)
- Rahab – she welcomed the spies (v. 31)
Others include Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets. (vs. 32)
