[:en]The vine was a symbol of Israel (Ps. 80:8-13, Isa. 5:1-7). The vine cannot be used as wood for building because it does not lend itself to be cut and shaped. Vines are good for its fruits. But if it does not bear fruit, it becomes useless. It will be thrown on fire as fuel. That was the condition of God’s people in Ezekiel’s day. Because of their unfaithfulness, God will set his face against them and make the land desolate.[:]
