Biblical Truth: John had suffered his faith in Jesus. While he was an exile in Patmos, God appeared to him in His glorious splendor and told him to write on a scroll what he saw and send it to the 7 churches (vs. 9-11) The 7 churches were represented by 7 golden lampstands. They are to keep shinning in this darkened world.
Personal Application: Are you the light that reflects the divine presence in your life? Do you shine for Jesus?
Prayer” Dear Lord, make our church shine for you in our corner of the earth so that this world of sin and darkness may see you.
