[:en]An allegory of unfaithful Jerusalem, Israel was the wife of Jehovah and was despised.  But God called her and saved her.  He blessed her with gifts but she worshiped idols of other nations. She became an adulterous wife and a harlot who paid others to sin with her.  God’s anger was upon her so she had to bear the consequence of her lewdness and detestable practices.[:]
