Biblical Truth: The city of Philadelphia with its strategic location had become a “missionary” center of Greek culture. Greek became the lengua franca of 3 neighboring cities. God used the church as a mission for His kingdom. They spread the gospel in all directions and received “worship” even from their oppressors. God had promised to sustain them in their trials and come out victorious.
Personal Application: Today,. believers can also carry God’s name and be real people of God by obeying His commands.
Prayer: Dear Jesus,. help me to hold on in faith and obedience even through difficulties. Help me to receive a new name and live with you in the New City forever.[:]
