[:en]Scripture Reading: Revelations 3:14-22
Biblical Truth: Laodicea was a wealthy city and considered as the banking center of Asia Minor. But Jesus called their church “poor” and told them to buy from him faith that has bee purified. Laodicea has a booming textile industry but Jesus called the church
naked” because of their wrong attitudes and ugly character. Jesus offered cloth of righteousness. Laodicea also produced and exported an eye salve that cured eye diseases. But Jesus judged them as blind – blind to their own need and spiritual condition. “Because you are lukewarm…. I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (v. 16)
Personal Application: Let us examine ourselves if we are “poor”, “naked” or “blind” . Let us open our hearts and seek Jesus. Let us rekindle our passion for Him.
Prayer: Lord, forgive us if we have become lukewarm Christians. Help us to open our heart’s door and listen to your Word.[:]
