[:en]God told Ezekiel to be a watchman. As such he had the responsibility to warn the people to turn from their wicked ways. “If a righteous man turn from his righteousness and does evil, he will die for it and if a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live by doing do” (vs. 18-19)
The Lord was going to let those who were left in the ruins fall by the sword, those out in the country to be devoured by wild animals and those in stronghold will die of a plague. (v. 27) For the people expressed devotion with their mouth but their hearts were greedy for unjust gain (v. 31). They heard God’s words but did not put them into practice.
How about you? Did you hear God’s word and put it into practice?[:]
