[:en]Thoughts from Ezekiel 34[:]

[:en]Woe to the shepherds for they only take care of themselves.  They ate the cords, clothed with wool and slaughtered the chose animals.  They did not strengthened the weak or healed the sick and bound up the injured.  They did not bring back the stray or search the lost but they ruled them harshly and brutally (vs. 2-4).  The Lord was going to remove them from tending the flock and they could no longer feed themselves.  God would search for her sheep and looked after them.  He will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered by bringing them out from the nations and gathering them from the countries and bringing them back to their own lands.  He will pasture and tend them.  They will be fed in rich pasture and shephered with justice. (v. 16)  God will also judge between the fat sheep and lean sheep.  He will make a covenant of peace with them and bless them.

Today, were are the sheep and Jesus Christ is our Great Shepherd.  He cares for us and watches over us.  He sends us showers of blessing because we are His people and He is our God.[:]
