[:en]False prophets and false teachers introduce destructive heresies and deny the sovereign Lord. (v. 1) They made up stories to exploit the people in their greed. (v. 3) They utter empty and boastful words, giving them promises (vs. 18-19). They have left the straight way and followed the way of Balaam, who loved the wages of wickedness.
Beware of false teachers whose purpose is for personal pleasure and financial gain. They are not true shepherds but are wolves in sheep’s clothing (Mat. 7:15)[:]
