Biblical Truth: When the 7th seal was opened, there was silence in heaven. John saw the 7 angels with 7 trumpets. Then, another angel who had a golden censer came to offer on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense together with the prayers of the saints went up before God. Then the angel took the censer filled with fire from the altar and hurled it on the earth, and there came thunder, lighting and earthquake. (vs. 1-5) When the 4 angels sounded the trumpet, there was devastation on earth, sea, rivers and heavenly bodies.
Personal Application: The vision serves as a warning for us to repent of our sins and to prepare for the worst to come. Let us worship God with reverence and awe because our God is a consuming fire. (Heb. 12:28-29)
Prayer: Lord, we know that you are serious about judging evil. Please forgive our sins and help us to be righteous.[:]
