[:en]When the people of Israel deserted God, the Lord withdrew Himself and His blessings and let them reap what they had sown. The wrath of God poured out on Judah’s leader like a flood of water (v. 10). Ephraim pursued idols, so she is oppressed and trampled in judgment. (v. 11) Ephraim turned to Assyria for help but he is unable to cure them. God will be like a lion to Ephraim and like a great lion to Judah. But if they would admit their guilt and seek God, the Lord will go back to them.(v. 15)
When we commit sin, God is willing to welcome us back again as long as we acknowledge our guilt and seek His face.[:]
