[:en]Thoughts from Habakkuk 3[:]

[:en]Habakkuk prayed for God’s mercy.  He reviewed the past history of how God had work for His people through His greatness and power.  God had used the Babylonian invasion and captivity for the good of His people and for His glory. In chapter 1, Habakkuk wondered and questioned.  In chapter, he went to watchtower to observe.  By chapter 3, he understood and was now on the mountains rejoicing.

He proclaimed:

“Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity” (v. 16)

“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior” (v. 18)

“The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights” (v. 19)[:]
