[:en]The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath
The inmost nature of God is Holiness and Righteousness. In his holiness, he hates sin. In his righteousness, he judges people. Sinners reap what they sow because “righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne” (Ps. 97:2). As judgment increases, the hearts of sinners will harden more. His judgment will one day be finished and His wrath revealed. But against the dark background of judgment, there is hope for believers because Christ promises to come.
“Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed” (v. 15)[:]
