[:en]Thoughts from Genesis 9[:]

[:en]God blessed Noah and his son and told them:  “Be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it” (v. 1, 7)  The Lord God established a covenant with Noah and his sons that never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth” (v. 8-11)  He set a rainbow in the clouds as the sign of the covenant between Him and the earth.  The rainbow serves as an everlasting covenant between God and all living creature of every kind on the earth that never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.(vs. 13-16)

The sons of Noah were:  Shem, Ham and Japheth.  One day, Noah drank some of its wine in the vineyard and became drunk.  He lay uncovered  inside his ten.  Ham, the father of Canaan saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside.  But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders;  then they walked in backward and covered their father’s nakedness.  When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, he cursed him and blessed Shem and Japheth. (vs. 18-27)[:]
