[:en]Thoughts from Matthew 9[:]

[:en]People that Jesus Healed:

  1. A paralytic (vs. 1-7)
  2. A dead girl and a sick woman (vs. 18-25)
  3. The blind and mute (vs. 27-33)

Jesus called Matthew, a tax collector to follow him, and Matthew got up and followed him.  Then Jesus went to Matthew’s house to have dinner with him.  May tax collectors and sinners also ate with him and his disciples.  When the Pharisees saw this, they questioned why Jesus mingled and ate with tax collectors and sinners.  Then Jesus answered them:  “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.  But go and learn what this means:  I desire mercy not sacrifice.  For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners” (vs. 9-12)

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (vs. 37-38)[:]
