[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (2/2/18)[:]

[:en]When Tim, a road-construction foreman was killed in an accident,  his country church could not accommodate all the mourners, so planners moved the service to a much larger building.  Friends and family packed the auditorium because Tim had touched many lives and many missed his kindness, sense of humor and enthusiasm for life.

In contrast, when Jehoram became king of Judah, he killed his own brothers and other leaders and led Judah into idol worship.  He was an evil king and a self-centered leader.  God afflicted him with an incurable disease of the bowels.  When he died in great pain, his people made no fire in his honor and with no one’s regret.

Jesus was also a King.  But He came to Earth to be a servant.  The Servant-King gave His life away and left a legacy of His forgiving arms around anyone who turns to Him.

How about you?  What kind of lasting legacy are you going to leave?[:]
