[:en]The Parable of the Sower (vs. 3-20)
A farmer went to sow seed. Some seeds fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on the rocky place. It sprang up quickly, but because the soil was shallow, when the sun came up, the plants were scorched. They withered because they had no roots. Other seeds fell among the thorns. The thorns grew up and choked the plants. So they did not bear grain. Still others fell on good oil. It came up and produced crop a hundred times.
Lesson Application:
Seed is the Word of God. Seeds along the path are people who hear the word but Satan comes and takes away the word. The seed on rocky places are people who hear the word and receive it with joy, but when troubles or persecutions come, they quickly fall away. The seeds among the thorns are people who hear the word but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desire of things choke the word and make it unfruitful. The seeds on good soil are people who hear the word, accept it and produce crop a hundred times.
