Another easily recognizable symbol and with eternal significance in the Hollywood is the Hollywood Pilgrimage Memorial Monument – a cross which stood 32 foot. This cross was placed there in memory of Christine Wetherill Stevenson, a wealthy heiress who in the 1920’s established the Pilgrimage Theatre (now the John Anson Ford Theatre).
