[:en]During the Festival of trumpets, the Israelites gathered at the entrance to the city known as the Water Gate. Ezra started reading the law of Moses straight through for the next six hours while the people stood up in reverence for the Book of the Law. They bowed down in humble worship, listened to the Scriptures and praised God for Jerusalem’s newly rebuilt walls.
Today, God’s words to us are still meant to be a source of praise, worship and learning. As we open the Bible to know about Christ’s teachings, let us praise God, worship Him, and live up to what He is saying to us now. – Dave Branon[:]
