[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (6/22/18)[:zh]T[:]

[:en]Tristan da Cunha Island is located in the South Atlantic Ocean, 1,750 miles from South Africa.  It is  the most remote inhabited island in the world.  Despite of its isolation, there are 288 people living there who call it their home.

A large crowd was gathered with Jesus in a remote place.  Jesus had compassion for these people  because they had been with Him for 3 days with nothing to eat.  If He sent them home hungry, they might collapse on the way because some of them had come from a long distance. (vs. 1-3).  So He produced a miraculous meal for the Four Thousand.

Sometimes God allows us to end up in a desolate place where He is our only source of help.  Do not worry, because He can meet our needs out of the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.  Trust in God’s power to do what we cannot do.[:]
