[:en]Eleanah was an Ephraimite. He had two wives namely: Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah had children but Hannah had none. In her desperation , she kept on praying in her heart to the Lord with her mouth moving but without sound. Eli the priest thought that she was drunk and told her to stop drinking. She then told him about her great anguish and grief. Eli told her to go in peace for God will grant her what she wished. Truly, God heard Hannah’s prayer and she conceived and gave birth to a son name Samuel which means “Heard by God”. He dedicated Samuel to the Lord for all the days of his life.
