Simon and his friends were fishermen at the Sea of Galilee. When Jesus arrived, He called them” “Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men” (Mark 1:17). Jesus had given them a new purpose in life. They were taught and trained to be used by God to capture the hearts of people with the message of the cross and resurrection of Christ.
