[:en]Thoughts from 2 Corinthians[:]

[:en]Paul did not hesitate to confront the wrongdoings of the Corinthian believers because of his geneiune love for them.  He honestly shared his concern to help them to be the very best for Christ.

FORGIVENESS FOR THE SINNER (vs. 1-11)

Paul told the Corinthian Church to forgive the man who had been punished by the church.  After he had repented, he needed forginess, acceptance and comfort.  After church discipline, restoration must follow.

There are 2 mistakes that the church should avoid.  First, it is too lenient and fail to correct mistake.  Second, it is being too harsh and not forgiving the sinner.  Church description isnecessary to keep the church pure.  Buit it has to be excercise peroperly.  It must be a means to correct and restore him to fellowship and not to destroy and abandon him.

MINISTERS OF THE NEW COVENANT ( vs. 12-17)

Titus was a Greek convert responsible for collecting the money to the poverty-stricken Jerusalem church.  On his way to Macedonia, Paul was supposed to meet Titus on Troas, but heldid not find him there so he went to Macedonia to look for him.  There he find him.

When Christians preach the Good News, the message is like the fragrance of life.  But to the unbelievers, it smells foul like death.

In Paul’s day, there were preachers who preached for profit.  Paul told us to speak before God with sincerity and integrity and never for selfish reasons.[:]
