[:en]OUR HEAVENLY DWELLING (vs. 1-10)
“If the earthly tent that we live is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven not built by human hands” (v. 1) We will have new perfect bodies without sickness, diseases or pain in eternity. God gave us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing us an everlasting body at the resurrection.
Paul was not afraid to die because he knew that death is only a prelude to eternal life with God. He urged believers to live by faith and not by sight (v. 7). We should continue to live in faithful service to Him. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ of how we have lived whether good or bad” (v. 10)
THE MINSTRY OF RECONCILIATION ( vs. 11-21)
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone and the new has come” (v. 17). Christians are being re-created and given new life by the Spirit living in union with Christ. Since Christ had reconciled us to God through His death on the cross, we are therefore Christ’s ambassador with the task of reconciling people to Him. Are you fulfilling the commission as Christ’s ambassador?
