[:en]Thoughts from 2 Corinthians 7[:]

[:en]The letter of Paul had caused the Corinthian believers to purify themselves from everything that contaminates body and the Spirit perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.  They were sorrowful for their sins which resulted in changed behavior.  They accepted correction and cleared up their troublesome situation and were united in fellowship.

Paul was encouraged and comforted by their ardent concern for him.  Godly sorrow beings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldy sorrow brings death.  Paul was joyful to hear from Titus on how they received and loved him.[:]
