[:en]The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. No one knows exactly the date of Christ’s return. So, do not be mislead by anyone who claims to know it. We should be prepared and be ready at all times to meet the Lord. Be alert and self-controlled, putting on faith and love as breastplate and the hope of salvation as a helmet. Encourage one another and build each other up with supporting words and actions.
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS (vs. 12-22)
Show respect to those who are working hard for the Lord. Express appreciation to your pastor and church leaders by giving them support and sharing them your love. Live at peace with each other. Warn those who are lazy, encourage the timid, help the weak and be patient with everyone. Nobody should pay anyone wrong for wrong but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone.
Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit’s fire. Do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything. Hold on to the good and avoid every kind of evil.
PAUL CONCLUDED WITH THIS BENEDICTION (vs. 23-28)
“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. My your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.”[:]
