[:en]Have you ever asked God this question “WHY ME”?

  1.  When God chose Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he asked:  “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? (Exo. 3:11).  “I have never been eloquent…. I am slow of speech and tongue” (Exo. 4:L10).  “Lord, please send someone also to go” (Exo. 4:13).
  2. When God called Gideon to save Israel out of Midian’s hand, Gideon asked:  “But Lord, how can I save Israel?  My clan is the weakest in Manasseh and I am the least in my family” (Jud. 6:15).
  3. When Samuel told Saul that he was to be anointed as king of Israel, he said:  “But am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel and is not my clan the least of all the clan of the tribe of Benjamin?  Why do you say such a thing to me? ( 1 Samuel 9:21).
  4. When God called Jeremiah to be the prophet, Jeremiah said” “Ah, Sovereign Lord, I do not know how to speak.  I am only a child” (Jer. 1:6).
  5. When God asked Jonah to go to Nineveh to proclaim God’s message of repentance, Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed to Tarshish. (Jonah 1:2-3).  But at the end, he obeyed and went to Nineveh. (Jonah 3:3)
  6. When Mordecai asked Esther to go to the king’s presence and beg for mercy and plead with him for her people, she initially refused but was later convinced to save the Jews from annihilation. (Esther 4:l7).

All of them had fulfilled their mission according to His plan.

God may not answer your question “WHY ME” because it is beyond your understanding to comprehend the reason.  But one thing you know is that God loves you and sets you free from your sins.  And He wants to fulfill His purpose through you.  Are you willing to accept His call?[:]
