[:en]THE TREE

Tree has special significance in the Bible

  1. God placed fruit trees in the Garden of  Eden which symbolized God bountiful provision (Gen. 1:29)
  2. Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil was where Adam and Eve stood before they were being tempted and where Satan reside and talked to Eve (Gen. 3:1-6)
  3. Tree was where Adam and Eve hid when God called them.  They used its leaves to cover themselves (Gen. 3:7-8)
  4. Tree of life was being barred from Adam and Eve so that they would not live forever in their sinful condition and state of spiritual death (Gen. 3:23-24)
  5. Tree was where Jesus was hung when he was crucified (Acts 5:30)
  6. Tree was where Zacchaeus climbed (sycamore fig tree) and found salvation (Luke 19:1-4)
  7. Jesus cursed a fig tree that did not bear fruits (Mat. 21:18-19)
  8. The cypress wood of the tree was used by Moses to build the Ark to save their whole family from flood. (Gen. 6:14)
  9. Moses used Staff (came from tree)  to divide the Red Sea into dry land for the Israelites to pass through (Exo. 14:16)

Everytime you see a Tree, remember Christ was nailed to a tree on our behalf.  The cross is a remarkable symbol of salvation because of God’s wonderful love for us.
