“When He has tested me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23:10)
Job lost his wealth, his health, and his family. He felt that God had disappeared from the landscape of his life. His pleas were not heard. God was no where to be found while he was suffering tremendously. In the middle of his despair, Job’s faith came to light when he declared: “God knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold” (Job 23:10)
We may also encounter trials and hardships. But God is using difficulty to burn away our self-reliance, pride and earthly wisdom. His silence means he is giving us an opportunity to grow stronger in our faith.
