[:en]David was pleading with God to clear his name of false charges made against him by his enemies. He had fought bravely and defeated Goliath to defend Israel’s honor. Instead of rewarding him, Saul’s jealously prompted him to take David’s life.
David turned to God and asked Him to vindicate, to test and examine him. David trusted the Lord without weavering. He walked continually in His truth. He was a man of integrity. He never sit with deceitful men nor consort with hypocrites. He abhored the assembly of evildoers and refused to sit with the wicked. His hands were innocent when he went to the altar to proclaim God’s wonderful deeds. He loved to live in the Lord’s house, the place where His glory dwells. He concluded with his feet standing on level ground. He was taking a stance where he could gain a better perspective of life.
