[:en]THE GIFT OF WELCOME
The writer of the book of Hebrews exhorted his readers to continue to welcome strangers. For in doing so, “some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it” (Heb. 13:2). Abraham and Sarah had welcomed three strangers to their house reaching out to them with generosity and treating them to a feast. They did not know that they were entertaining angels who brought them a message of blessing.
