[:en]WHEN YES MEANS NO

When the mother of Xochitl Dixon was battling against leukemia, she prayed to God to work miracles and heal her.  But her mother decided to stop treatment and asked God to end her suffering.  Soon after, God welcomed her into a pain-free eternity.  To say YES to her mother’s prayer, God has to say NO to Xochitl’s prayer.  That is when Yes means No.

Sometimes God says NO to our prayers because “the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God” (Rom. 8:27)  He reminds us that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him (Rom. 8:28) even when His yes to someone else means a heartbreaking no for us.

Let us remember that God is good and whatever He decides, be at peace.  Trust Him with confidence in  His goodness to answer every prayer according to His will and for His glory. – (Xochitl Dixon)[:]
