The Old Testament prophet Daniel received a frightening vision of the great war. Daniel fasted and sought God through humble prayer (Dan. 10:3, 12). For three weeks, he did not receive any reply (Dan.10:2, 13). Finally, an angel arrived and assured Daniel that his prayers had been heard “since the first day”. Daniel did not know that God was at work during each of the 21 days that elapsed between his first prayer and the angel’s coming.
Do not be anxious when His reply does not come as what you have expected. Daniel’s experience reminds us that God is at work on behalf of those He loves.[:]
