[:en]When the Israelites were about to enter the promised land, Moses instructed the people to break down the altars, cut down the idols and never to worship the Lord in their way.  They were to seek a place of worship where they would bring their burnt offerings, sacrifices, tithes and spiritual gifts and enjoy God’s blessings there.

Eating of blood forbidden:  (vs. 16, 23, 24, 25)

“You must not eat the blood because blood is the life and you must not eat the life with the meat.  You must not eat the blood, pour it out on the ground like water.  Do not eat it so that it may go well with you and your children after you”[:]
