[:en]This Psalm described a scene from the courtroom. God is judging against two kinds of religious sinners:
- Superficial worshipers (vs. 1-15) – They offer sacrifices insincerely with empty routine hoping to earn God’s blessings. God does not want the material things we give. He wants our spiritual sacrifices of Thanksgiving, Praise and Obedience.
- Hypocritical worshipers (vs. 16-20) – They profess one thing and practise another. They are guilty of theft, adultery, deceit and slander. God’s silence does not mean that they can escape from punishment. God’s judgment begins with His own People.
God wants sacrifices that come from our heart of love, sincerity and faith that can glorify Him. We glorify Him through our good works, godly walk and great faith.
“He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way, so that I may show him the salvation of God” (vs. 22-23)[:]
