[:en]The leaders treated the people like animals and devoured them.  They despised justice, distorted all that was right, build Zion with bloodshed & Jerusalem with wickedness and judged for a bribe.  The priests taught for a price and their prophets told fortunes for money. God will eventually judge their sins.[:]

[:en]Thoughts from Micah 1[:]

[:en]Micah’s name means “who is like the Lord”.  He pronounced judgment against Samaria and Jerusalem for their idolatry and harlotry against the Lord.  The prophet wept over the terrible things that would happen to the people. Judgment is certain to come.  Do you mourn over lost sinners and seek to win them to Christ?[:]

[:en]The Edomites were brothers of Jacob’s descendants.  The had pride in their hearts.
