[:en]God appeared to sSolomon and told him to ask for whatever he wanted  (v. 7).  Solomon  asked for wisdom so that he might lead the people (v. 10).  The Lord was pleased so He not only gave him wisdom and knowledge but also wealth, riches and honor (v. 12).[:]
